Mark 5:25-34
A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse. She heard about Jesus,.....For she thought to herself, "If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed." Immediately the bleeding stopped!......Jesus realized at once that healing power had gone out from him, he asked, "Who touched my robe?" Then the frightened woman fell to her knees and told him what she had done. And Jesus said, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over."
Mark 5:35-42
....."Your daughter is dead. There's no use troubling the Teacher now." But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus, "Don't be afraid. Just have faith.".......Holding the little girl, Jesus said, "Little girl, get up!" And the girl immediately stoop up and walked around!
Now, if we skip forward to Acts 3:12-16 Peters speaks to some onlookers who just witnessed a crippled beggar walk for the first time after Peter had told him to stand up in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
"Men of Israel, why does this surprise you?.....By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see."
I pray that we all can keep our faith in Jesus. That we might be able to witness a miracle this week through the power of His glorious name!
