It is foolish to belittle one's neighbor; a sensible person keeps quit. A gossip goes around telling secrets, but those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence. Proverbs 11:12-13
I raise my hand high into the air confessing that I am a guilty one! I have gossiped. OK I have confessed it, that's the easy part. The harder part is taking action and fixing it. I try to remind myself not to be so quick at trying to make conversation with someone by gossip. Instead, maybe tell someone about what God is doing in my life, or maybe even just talking about a good movie I have just seen. There are many things we can talk about other then having to gossip. I know it's easy to do but lets make it our homework for this week. Cut out our gossip and replace it with the good news of how great God's love is.
There truly is a reward for those who live for God. Psalm 58:11
