Why was I never told the story about Jesus wondering off by himself for three days...at the age of 12! Theirs really not a lot to the story but it is just interesting to hear. Then, the best part is what Jesus said to his mother Mary when they found him in the temple with religious teachers.
"But why did you need to search?" he asked. "Didn't you know that I must be in my Father's house?" Luke 2:49
Don't you hate it when you are looking for something you can't find, then you find it basically right under neath your nose. Like this morning, I could not find my keys. I probably anxiously looked for tens minutes and never fails that I also was running late to work! Then, sure enough they were sitting perfectly on the chair by the door just waiting for me. So frustrating!
It just like what Jesus is telling us. Why are we searching everywhere for Him, when along He was right here the whole time. We might think that we can find Jesus if we attend a camp or through a sermon or where ever else. But all we have to do is open our hearts and then we will find Him. Jesus is never missing, we are the ones who are always lost.
